1. Substation Engineer (LV / MV / HV Networks)
Job Description:
- Work on low, medium, and high voltage (LV/MV/HV) networks
- Execute tasks as per instructions from line managers
- Maintain training records and certifications
- Ensure safety and compliance standards
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the power industry
- Experience in major projects in similar roles
- Electrical Engineering NVQ or Diploma
- Valid certifications:
- Safe Pass
- Manual Handling Training
- First Aid Training
- MEWP Training
- Full Driving License
- Experience working on high voltage networks (20kV, 38kV, 110kV, 220kV)
- Experience with ESB network (Ireland) is an advantage
2. Overhead Line Transmission Engineer
Job Description:
- Design and manage transmission line projects
- Use software such as PLS-CADD for design and drawings
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Civil / Structural / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Registered or eligible as Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in transmission line design
- Strong knowledge of:
- Line design software (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE/TOWER)
- Project management processes
- Occupational health and safety standards
- CSA codes and engineering regulations
- Experience in fibre optic cable layout is an added advantage
- Strong leadership and communication skills
