Furniture Polisher Job Responsibilities
The Furniture Polisher will be responsible for preparing and finishing furniture surfaces to achieve the required appearance and quality.
Main duties include:
- Applying PU, melamine, lacquer, stain, varnish and polish finishes.
- Preparing furniture surfaces before polishing or coating.
- Operating spray guns and other furniture finishing equipment.
- Applying coatings evenly and according to required finishing standards.
- Matching colors and shades accurately.
- Carrying out polishing and finishing work on different types of furniture.
- Checking finished surfaces for defects, uneven coating and color differences.
- Correcting finishing imperfections when required.
- Operating polishing and finishing machinery safely.
- Maintaining tools, spray guns and finishing equipment.
- Following workplace safety procedures while handling finishing materials.
Skills Required for Furniture Polisher Jobs
Candidates should have practical knowledge of furniture polishing and finishing processes. Experience with PU, melamine, lacquer, stain, varnish and polish applications will be particularly useful.
