Job Responsibilities and Requirements
1. Foremen
- Supervise civil construction activities and workers.
- Coordinate masonry, shuttering, steel fixing and scaffolding work.
- Monitor work quality, productivity and site safety.
2. Chargehands
- Allocate daily tasks to workers.
- Coordinate with foremen and site supervisors.
- Ensure construction work follows project instructions.
3. Masons – Block Plaster
- Perform block masonry and plastering work.
- Follow construction drawings and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper finishing and alignment.
4. Shuttering Carpenters
- Install and remove formwork for concrete structures.
- Follow measurements and construction drawings.
- Ensure formwork is properly aligned and secured.
5. Steel Fixers
- Cut, bend and place reinforcement steel.
- Follow reinforcement drawings and bar schedules.
- Maintain correct spacing and tying of steel bars.
6. Scaffolders
- Assemble and dismantle scaffolding according to approved procedures.
- Inspect components and maintain safe access platforms.
- Follow site safety requirements.
7. Labourers
- Assist skilled workers with construction activities.
- Handle materials and maintain site cleanliness.
- Support general civil construction work.
