The oil and gas sector in East Africa continues to create exciting career opportunities for experienced engineering and technical professionals. A major recruitment campaign is currently underway for the commissioning of a Central Processing Facility (CPF) and Crude Oil Processing Facility in Uganda.

This free recruitment drive is seeking qualified candidates across Electrical, Instrumentation, ICSS, Cybersecurity, Commissioning, and Telecommunications disciplines. The project is expected to run for approximately 6 to 8 months, offering a valuable opportunity to gain international oil and gas project experience.

Selected candidates will receive free food, accommodation, and other site-related facilities during the project assignment.

A. Electrical Crew Composition

HV Electrical Senior Engineers – 8 Positions

Candidates should have experience in high-voltage electrical systems, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities in large industrial or oil and gas projects.

LV Electrical Senior Engineers – 8 Positions

Applicants should possess strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, commissioning procedures, installation activities, and electrical safety standards.

B. Instrumentation and ICSS Crew Composition

ICSS Senior Engineers (DCS/SIS) – 24 Positions

Professionals with expertise in Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) are encouraged to apply.

Instrument Senior Engineers – 24 Positions

Candidates should have proven experience in instrumentation engineering, calibration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.

Cybersecurity Specialists – 10 Positions

Applicants must have strong knowledge of industrial cybersecurity, operational technology (OT) security, network protection, and cybersecurity compliance.

Senior Instrument Technicians – 42 Positions

Technicians with experience in instrument installation, calibration, loop checking, troubleshooting, and maintenance are preferred.

Commissioning Engineers – 29 Positions

Candidates should be capable of handling pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup activities, system testing, and project handover.

Instrument Engineers / Loop Check Leads – 36 Positions

Professionals with expertise in loop checking, functional testing, instrumentation validation, and commissioning support are highly desirable.

C. Telecommunications Crew Composition

Telecom Lead Engineer (Network Architecture) – 2 Positions

Applicants should possess experience in telecom network design, architecture planning, communication systems, and infrastructure deployment.

Telecom Senior Engineer (FO/Radio/CCTV) – 3 Positions

Candidates must have experience in fiber optic systems, radio communication networks, CCTV systems, and telecom commissioning activities.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for these positions, applicants should possess:

• Relevant Engineering Degree, Diploma, or Technical Qualification
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, or Industrial Projects
• Strong knowledge of commissioning and startup activities
• Familiarity with international safety standards and procedures
• Ability to work on an international project assignment in Uganda
