Oman Shutdown Project Jobs 2026 – Engineers and Supervisors Required

A leading company in Oman is recruiting experienced engineers and supervisors for a shutdown project in the fertilizer and petrochemical industry. AMEXEMPLAR Services LLP is handling the recruitment.

Available Positions and Qualifications

1. Mechanical Engineers

• Qualification: BE in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: The notice specifies 7–8 years for BE candidates and 20 years for diploma candidates.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance and mechanical turnaround jobs is required.
• Fertilizer or petrochemical industry experience is preferred.
• Insulation or cold-insulation experience is mentioned for one position.

2. Instrumentation Engineers

• Qualification: BE in Instrumentation and Control or Diploma in Instrumentation and Control.
• Experience: The notice specifies at least 10 years for BE candidates and 20 years for diploma candidates in the fertilizer or petrochemical industry.

3. Inspection Engineers

• Qualification: BE in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: At least 10 years for BE candidates or 20 years for diploma candidates, as stated in the notice.
• Experience in static equipment inspection is required.
• Minimum Level II certification in DP/MPI/UT/RT inspection techniques is specified.

4. Electrical Engineers

• Qualification: BE in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

5. Quality Control Engineer / QA/QC Inspector – Mechanical Maintenance

• Experience in static equipment maintenance and plant turnarounds is required.

6. Civil Engineer

• Qualification: BE in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: The notice specifies 8 years of industrial experience for BE candidates and 15 years for diploma candidates.

7. Safety Engineer

• Qualification: BE in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a Diploma in an engineering discipline with a safety diploma from a reputed institute.
• Experience: At least 15 years in the fertilizer, petrochemical or heavy chemical industry.
• Shutdown project experience and knowledge of safety analysis, work permits, safety reports and safety training are preferred.

8. Electrical Supervisor

• Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or ITI.
• Experience: The notice mentions 12–14 years for diploma candidates and 18–20 years for ITI candidates.

9. Mechanical Supervisor

• Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 15–20 years in mechanical maintenance and site operations.
• Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating site activities, managing manpower, ensuring safe and efficient execution of work, and coordinating with clients and other disciplines.

Terms and Conditions

According to the recruitment notice:

• Candidates must have experience in fertilizer or petrochemical plant shutdown projects.
• Free food and accommodation will be provided by the company.
• A monthly fixed allowance is mentioned for non-OT category candidates in lieu of additional hours or days worked.
• GAMCA medical charges will be reimbursed to candidates at Muscat under the stated conditions.
• Unfit candidates may be eligible for medical reimbursement upon submission of payment receipts, as specified in the notice.
